Propecia Results

Propecia, approved by FDA, is a pill that is advised once a day to treat hair loss, especially in men. The key factor of hair loss is an element called DHT and it is thought that Procepia reduces this DHT helping the growth of the hair, up to some extent.

Clinical research has proved some visible results of Procepia.

Some positive Facts about Procepia

These results are based on 5 year’s clinical research:

  • 9 of the 10 men who had taken Propecia had shown great results. They witnessed either growing of hair again on their scalp (134 of 279 i.e. 48%) or stoppage of further hair fall (117 of 279 i.e. 42%). This is very high percentage as compared to 25% (4 out of 16) who were given placebo (sugar pill). This assessment is based on the photographs taken by independent board of dermatologists.
  • 2 out of 3 men, that were given Propecia, experienced re-growth of hair. This was based on their previous and current hair count. On the other hand, men, who were not supplemented with Propecia, showed hair loss.
  • Just 2 out of 13 men showed re-growth of hair taking placebo. This is just 15% against 77 %( 210 of 271) of success rate in case of Propecia.
  • Most of the men who participated in the study, claimed that the bald spots on their head became smaller, the rate at which they were losing hair slowed down and so the appearance of hair improved to a great extent.
